Just Being with What Arises

Most often, we assume we ought to do something with what is going on in our minds. Contrary to popular opinion, it might be helpful to not do anything with the contents of our psyche at times. Just being with whatever arises is not difficult to do, no matter what is going on in your life. All one has to do is to try and remember to not attempt to overcome, compare or resolve and gratify that which is arising.

If we can do this every once in a while, we might find a calm that is difficult to attain when we are responding to or acting upon our urges, needs and concerns.
